Above the Ground

Although I kept the seedlings on the balcony for a few days to transition them into outdoor light before planting them in the ground, I lost a pea and a bean seedlings in the burning sun. So after I put the next set of seedlings in yesterday, I shredded and used the coconut husk pots they were in to set up a bit of light shelter for them for a few days. Will see how that works.

The little huts protect the fragile seedlings I planted in the ground yesterday. The tomatoe plants seemed strong enough not to need sun protection. May 19, 2010
